WHO IS A MEMBER AND WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP?
A member in Lifespring is any person who has been admitted for membership and paid the membership fee for the current membership year, which runs from August 1 to July 31. Members may take classes for both semesters and participate in Winter Presentations, special events, and activities. If you are currently a member and you pay your membership fee for the coming year by the August registration deadline, you will continue to be a member.
HOW ARE NEW MEMBERS ADMITTED TO LIFESPRING?
Lifespring makes every effort to take in as many new members as space and resources will permit
We are committed to accepting new members in the fall of each year with the goal of keeping our organization refreshed and vital. The number of spots available for new members is determined after returning members have submitted their registration materials. We anticipate that there will be openings for new members each year. Lifespring has been growing steadily over the past several years. The physical space at the Woodstock Jewish Congregation where we hold our classes is limited. Thus, in order to allow for smaller enrollments for some of the courses, rooms that are not overcrowded, and classes that foster quality discussions and other creative learning, we may not be able to offer membership to everyone who wishes to become a new member. If we have more applicants than openings, a lottery will be held. Those who are successful in the lottery will become members. Those who are not selected through the lottery process are encouraged to apply again the following year. We do not keep a waiting list. All applicants will be notified of their status by late summer.
HOW DO I APPLY FOR MEMBERSHIP?
To apply for membership you must send in a completed registration form and check by the deadline date (usually in the beginning of August). The catalog with the registration form for the upcoming year is posted on the Lifespring website the first week in July. Membership is for a full year, August 1 - July 31. We do not accept new members for the spring semester.
