Lifespring, an adult learning community offers a broad range of noncredit educational activities for retired, semi-retired and other adult participants. Lifespring’s philosophy is to provide, at a modest cost, a broad range of learning experiences for all its members, regardless of previous educational background.
We recognize the need and desire for active elders who wish to continue to learn and grow, to participate in an environment of sociability and mutual encouragement. In this venue, we come together to share our knowledge and interests and socialize with like-minded people.
Volunteers from around the area teach noncredit, non-competitive courses. Members are encouraged to actively participate in study, discussion and the operation of the learning community.
This newly formed volunteer-run learning community is sanctioned and supported by the Town of Saugerties. Lifespring will offer classes/courses, lectures and symposia that will provide opportunities for active elders and/or retirees to:
o stimulate our minds in new and creative ways
o learn about topics that have been intriguing
o challenge ourselves in new areas
o open new vistas in learning
o discover new talents, skills and interests
o develop new friends
